Point Berkshire has refined breeding and natural production
methods into the very discriminating Japanese market. There
Six Point has consistently satisfied the taste for "Kuro
Buto", the traditional name by which Berkshire pork is known
and enjoyed in Japan. Similar in stature to Kobe Beef, it is
raised and prepared as a delicacy, savored in smaller portions
for its flavor.

State of the art methods, traditional care

The twenty farms that comprise Six Point are all
family owned, many of them have been for generations. By
organizing and managing our farms as a tightly knit
cooperative, in a close local geography in Southwest
Minnesota, Six Point Berkshire has been able to selectively
maintain and refine their 100% purebred stock.
The pigs are allowed to roam and root freely,
spending as much of their days outside as weather and
temperament permit. They are raised with out the use of
sub-therapeutic antibiotics or growth-promoting
hormones.
Small batch craft processing

To do justice to this exceptional meat, Six Point
Berkshire sought out a processing partner that embraces the
same ideals they hold, combining state-of-the-art facilities
and standards, traditional craft attention to detail, humane
treatment of the animals, small batch processing and expert
hand cutting of portions. Six Point Berkshire found an ideal
match with USDA Certified Lorentz Meats, located in Canon
Falls, MN. Together they offer a full line of fresh pork, from
primals to individual cuts. No artificial ingredients,
coloring or preservatives are used and all products are
minimally processed.
